ranch hand/frontend replacement/ heavy duty bumper
has anyone put a ranch hand or similar frontend replacement heavy duty bumper on a 1500 silverado? if so i really want to and like to hear how it went for you. also has anyone build a custom heavy duty bumper for the same truck. i am in the process and want to see other examples. thanks guys.

What year truck do you have? I've built a few bumpers from scratch. Ranch Hand does have some awesome bumpers. They'll usually bolt in. But I've learned it's good to bolt them in then weld it. That way when someone runs into you or you to them. Your truck will most likely live. My brothers 94 2500 had a ranchhand welded on and a 77 chevy hit him almost headon. My brother drove his truck home that night, the drunk driver of the 77 had to be airlifted out, both were wearing seatbelts.

Well... I have pics but there hidden somewhere in Texas and I'm not. Best bet, and easier, buy a ranch hand. The bumpers I built were more just to touch up on my welding and building overkill bumpers for my friends. I built a 700lb bumper once. Had to put a lift kit on the front of the truck to level it back out. Purely offroad truck.
