Default replacing starter 2006 1500 hd

replaced starter on 2006 1500hd with a premium napa brand and it lasted one day, not thinking it was the starter i removed the fly wheel inspecton plate to look for missing teeth, all the teeth were fine but i noticed some wear on the teeth. went back to napa and got another starter and the truck started just fine. just my bad luck i recon. anybody else ever replaced 2 starters in two days. what is the odds of that.

Had that happen on my old Ranchero (302). I had headers and they were over heating the starter(s). I still have that old truck. My fiancee calls it a planter in the back yard!!!!
