Default Are the resonators cut off when getting a Dual Exhasut?

Well i own a 1997 Z71 and i have decided to put some flowmasters (the super 40's). Im going to get a Dual Exhaust for it and i want to know when they install will my resonators be gone too. Because someone told me they located in the muffler, so in that case it means they will be gone since im putting a new muffler. If not, then would it be a good idea to take them out or to leave them in, thanx.
