um, i used some of this grease in a can, its a white can, used for garage doors.
i think the name of that grease is called something like, liquid grease. It works well

First thing you need to do is establish why it's squeaking. a 2000 shouldn't squeak yet, unless maybe the pin sleeves are broken (cheap fix). With the door open, grab the bottom end near the lock and try to lift it up. If it moves at all, something is loose. If it moves, check the sleeves at the hinges. They're hard to see as they sit in a slot, but look for a door pin (just like doors in your house). The sleeves cost around $2 at GM, or you can get a full kit off Ebay for around $9.
As for grease, like the last guy said, white grease is what GM uses. They should have this product on hand at your dealer, or autoparts store.
