Default Steering clunk at low speed

I own an 06 1/2T Silverado 2WD. I believe I have a problem with my steering. Whenever I drive, it seems to grown and creak at low speed, especially going into a driveway or around a corner.

Can someone shed some light on what this problem is. I've been told it's the lower intermediate steering shaft and other people tell me its the plastic steering shaft bearing under the dash.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Alan,

We see that you're looking for some advice from other forum members about your steering concerns and hopefully they chime in soon! If you're interested in taking your truck into the dealership to be serviced, we'd be happy to reach out to them on your behalf. If interested, please PM us your VIN, preferred dealer, and contact information. Also, if you'd like for us to look into any service announcements related to this concern we can do this with your VIN as well.

Thanks,

Amber N.
