I'm looking at installing the 2 inch lift kit from rough country. It replaces the torsion bar keys and has a 3 inch block for the rear along with four shocks and new longer u bolts for the rear axle. The only problem is the unloading of the torsion bars. I've heard they can be a real knuckle buster without the right tool but that tool is 150 bucks at my local napa. Just wondering if anyone has had any other luck with making there own or not thanks for the help.

Google the tool you should be able to find it less expensive. Also Autozone and Advance Auto Parts have free loaner tool service. "Knucle buster without the tool" I do not think it can be done without the tool. If it can I would not want to try.

Just a concern, i was running 285/75-16 firestone destination mt's, on stock rims with the stock keys cranked up they did not rub i now have moto metal rims that are 1 inch wider and they rub even with some minor trimming. Just wondering if the new keys will give enough lift to rid me of the rubbing or if it is just gonna give me stock ride back with no height gain?

You'll never get the stock ride back with the T-bars cranked out. You'll get some of it back.
The best thing to do is to get a body lift to finish it off. That way you won't have to worry about killing your CV joints.
