I have a 2006 Silverado Ext. Cab 4WD, WT with the 5.3 V8. I was wondering how do I tell if it has the trailering suspension to tow over 5000 pounds. The hitch that is on it is rated to 5000 lbs but I could easily switch that out if it is capable. This info along with other will help me decide what type of travel trailer to start looking at, I want to stay within the trucks capabilities but I also would like to know how to lell the difference in suspensions.
