Default tranmission tick

My 97 k1500 has started a ticking in the transmission its a 5 speed manual and i had the clutch replaced 2 years ago. all the fluids are fine and there is no issues when shifting . the ticking isn't loud but i had my girlfriend give it some gas while i listned to make sure it wasnt an exauhst leak or the motor. it is coming right from the trans. im wondering if anyone has any ideas. i read maybe a torque converter how can i check this. or would it be best to just drive it to amco for a trans scan?
thanks for you time and replies.

A manual transmission doesn't have a torque converter, so don't worry about that. Probably a bearing going bad.

i had all the bearings changed so i hope thats not it thats a spendy fix and i have been really easy on the shifting and it doesnt gring the gears or anything and still shifts really smooth but when my clutch went bad last time the tick was alot louder so im praying its something that will go away i guess ill just have to look into al the possibilities and hope i dont have to put another 1200 bucks into it

im not possitive but i think so. the more i listen to it it sounds almost like an exhaust leak out of the manifold but im not sure its not a loud tick and i smells like exhaust underthe truck real bad i might just have to get t home and have the guy that did my clutch have a listen trying to have sounds iagnosed on hear is really hard without you guys being able to hear it and ts to faint for m to get a clip of it i just dont want t drive the 5 hours home and have it break down in the middle. but if it has a speedo cable what would that put me i the diection of so i can take a look at that?

There not hard. Remove it from the transmission. I'd say since you are just testing it to put some duct tape over it. Drive it around the block. If it isn't the cable, it at least is one less thing to look at.

Does it make the ticking sound all the time? Does the sound change when you are doing any one thing. Possibly the throw out bearing.

it doesnt change its always the same my brother seems to think its my pilot bearing going out. but the throw out bearing is also just as good of a guesswithout being able to actually hear. but the fluid is clean and is still full so i guess ill just see how it plays out
