I have a 89 K1500 that died while coming to a stop. It wouldn't start after about 5 minutes of trying it finally started. It ran fine all the way home and even sat and idled for about 3 minutes but the next day I tried to start it and now all it does is crank but won't turn over. I'm not getting spark from the coil and the injectors aren't spraying. I replaced the coil thinking it was that but still no change. Any ideas?

no injector pulse or spark are signs of no crankshaft position sensor signal.

got a scan tool? crank it over and see if there is a rpm signal

No I don't have one. I checked the power going to the coil and I have power going in and coming out.

Also I'm fairly sure mine doesn't have a crankshaft position sensor.

it needs a rpm signal from somewhere to determine when to fire the injectors....being that old it may get its signal from the distributor.
