I have a 00 Silverado 6.0 ltrwith a manual 5 speed tranny that has developed a problem where it wont idle down between shifts or when when you let off the gas when in gear. Nothing in the information dispaly or check engine light. Any ideas?

 

Vaccum leak possibly

 

I had this problem on a 2000, 5.3 and it stayed at 1500 rpm . I put a new idle sensor on it and it didn`t work. I took it to mechanic and he replaced the fuel pump becase my fuel gage at 1/2 full would go to empty. He said the pump and sending unit was made together ( $ 375.00 ) later . But it did stop but after a few days of driveing . Maybe a little help.
