Hey guys have a 01 2500hd crew longboxduramax with a hypertec programmer , exhaust , intake , and diesel filter kit. Problem is when i tow my toy haller (25ft) at 65-70mph the engine shuts down and just idles untill i slow down or restart engine - it does this every time i pull the trailer and stinks cause i cant go the speed limit or pass anyone with out the engine cutting off - programmer is at 2nd setting (towing) and still cuts out - i think it may be a fuel pump problem -- Any help would be great thanks

 

take the programmer out! My dad had a similar problem with his 05 Duramax. He had an edge performance programmer, and as soon as he took everything to stock and took it out he has never had a problem with it again, and this has been about 6 months now. Hope this works for you.
