Default 01 Front Wheel Hub Assembly

Hi all, I have a 01 GMC Sierra 2WD with a bad front wheel hub/bearing assembly. My question is, do I need to use a threadlocker on the mounting bolts when replacing? Anything else I need to know before replacing?

Thanks,

James

well, the factory bolts do have compound on them. also, all nuts are pinch nuts. just be careful with the loktite choices - don't go red or lord save you, black. blue should be ok. 20 minutes to cure.

Read the post too late & used red. Think I'll ever get it back off if I need to replace again?

Have a new question; I need an upper balljoint. After removing the snap ring can the joint be knocked out or will it need to be pressed?
