01 silverado fog lights

my fog lights will not turn off.. i have pressed the button below the cargo lamp and they will not go off... they also stay on even when the high beam lights are on.. what could bre wrong?? thanks!

I would replace the fog light button, that sounds like the problem.

if the switch was bad could their still be power getting to the lights to stay on all the time?

Yes, it could break in the on position.

ive got LED bulbs in the fog lights now.. would it hurt them to be on all the time i drive?

Hurt the bulbs no, but depending on how hot they get they could start to melt the housings. I know LEDs aren't suppose to get really hot, but some have been known to melt parking light housings
