I have an '01 Silverado with a 4.8 v-8. i have noise upon idle after truck is warm. I have been told ignore it, its a lifter, its a rocker, its the injectors. It is a tapping sound. if i dont let truck run a little after long time sitting it will tap. but this is a separate tapping when the truck is warm and idling. i cant tell if it picks up with engine speed when driving. i just put a lot of money into this truck and im worried it was all for nothing. Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advnce

You can try to find a shop that carries BG products. Make sure they have the newest BG oil flush chemical and machine I have seen it take care of many lifter taps. www.bgfindashop.com
