Was merging onto the highway this afternoon and the trans would not shift into 3rd or 4th gear. It reved high then went back into 2nd gear. 1st time in 8 years I was glad I had a 3:42 rear gear and not the larger one I wanted. Any Trans guys out there? Moma ( my Bride ) says this sounds "Spendy", I have to agree...............Ed It's a 2wd with 110k

 

Did anything else happen recently to the vehicle I.E. Work done to it, ran over anything. When was the last time you had a fluid and filter change on the transmission?

 

Didn't run anything over, no new work on truck.Another electrician at work said maybe shift selonoids? This truck has really been a trooper, towing a 3700# trailer over 40k over the years. Changed oil and filter again at 90k
