Default 02 Silverado 1500 4wd, Body lift questions

Hi, I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 non-HD Z71 4wd w/ and automatic trans. I have a RCD 6in suspension lift on in already, I'm wanting to go higher. I was thinking of putting a 3in body lift on it. I'm not sure witch one to buy. I want to buy a kit w/everything I need. Any extension parts, clips, bumper brackets. Everything!! Also, I've never installed a lift before, will there be any welding or drilling. I'm only worried about welding because I do sheet metal for a living. Any advise would be Awesome!! Thanks

Save your cash until you can bump up your suspension lift more. Body lifts look tacky even with the skirts and your radiator goes up with your body away from your engine and stuff like that. If you have a nice suspension lift now you probably will not be happy. I almost made that mistake with my trcuk, glad I didnt.

OK, thanks for the advice.. Dont I have to buy a whole new lift kit to do that or do I just have to buy new lifting blocks? Also I was thinking about getting a power programmer, I have been looking on the InnerAuto.com web site at the different kinds of chips and modules to get. I dont want anything to crazy but I definitly want to feel the difference. Any Info???

On the rear you can step up the blocks, on the front probably have to change your spindels depending on how much more you want it depends on the type of lift you have check with a lift shop they will be able to help. I did a hypertech, noticed a little on low end but dont expect it to feel like you added a turbo its not a huge difference but it helps and it lets you adjust for larger tires which Im sure you have.
