I have a 2006 silverado 1/2 ton. Occasionally when getting in, and closing, my driver side door, the passenger door light will remain on. While remaining in my driveway or driving down the road, opening and closing the driver's side door again shuts the light off. Any ideas??

 

Mine does the same thing. I have an 06 LT1. I noticed that when you turn on and off the cabin lights, it will turn it off. That and opening the door like you said.

 

I'm more annoyed by it than anything. I usually take the cabin light on/off approach, too. I was beginning to think it was a random quirk in my truck alone, but it doesn't seem like it.
