Default 07 5.3 ticking noise

I have a 2007 Silverado 5.3 with 70k. I has started making noises and feel its lifter chatter. I have no oil pressure issues and no other noises or problems but wanted every ones take on this on. This was recorded from the drivers side wheel area. It makes this sound with engine cold or at normal operating temp.

Most likely its a carbon build up on the lifters and valves. Especially with all the ethanol that is in todays fuels. Pick up a can of seafoam from you local autoparts store. Run some in the engine oil and the fuel. Do an oil change after about 50 miles of running. You can also do an upper engine clean with it by sucking it up in a vacuum line. Instructions are on the can. Hope that helps. (or if your not comfortable have a local shop to a fuel injection service)

Does it do it when in gear?
You might also consider getting an automotive stethoscope and check for possible exhaust leak....
