I ve recently purchased the new body 07' style Silverado, extended cab, short bed 5'8", 2wd, 5.3 gas motor with the Active Fuel Managment system, I ordered the larger 3.73 rear end for towing my Camper. I love the trucks power and mpg, But i cant leave a good thing alone and stock is boreing, soooooo I was wanted to know if anyone has tweeked there new 5.3 a.c.m. motors and what works? air exchanger, cat back exhaust and chips are what I have heard on the street? This type motor may be too new also? any info is appreciated

 

FYI - no chips since like 95 for GM. You can tune your pcm with a handheld programmer like Hypertech, Superchips, Edge, Diablo, etc... or you can have your PCM custom tuned. No chips though.
