Hey guys im sure this has been addressed here but I am uable to find it on the search, Im not good at computers so it doesnt suprise me i cant find it. Anyways, my 07 Silverado has 43,000 miles on it. I bought it used and since Ive had it it has always done this. When I stop at a red light it feels like the truck it still trying to go with brake pushed then it makes a loud popping noise and drops RPM like its at a stop. When I told my local delaer about it he said it was normal??? Any ideas what this is guys or just something I have to deal with?

I don't own an '07, but I have ridden in one quite a few times and it absolutely does not do that.
soo, I am gonna try to address your problems 1 by 1...
1-with the brake pressed in and the truck at a stop, if you are not pressing the brake
in with force, does it want to creep forward? It could be that you need new rotars.
you said when you stop at a red light it feels like the truck is trying to go. Is that while completely
stopped or slowing down to a stop but still moving?
2-what rpm does the truck idle at? your idle could be up too high. I am not sure what '07s idle at,
but my '95s warmed up idle is about 700 rpms IIRC.
3-another thing it could be is maybe your throttle is slightly sticking. When you try to brake the
throttle may loosen up a little bit, then when you come to a stop it loosend up all the way.

I own an 07 new body style silverado and I have never had that problem but I asked my mechanic and he said he thinks it is going to be a sticky throttle.. ( his opinion)

I have an 01 5.3 and it idles at 500 RPM. I don't know about the new trucks, or even what engine you have, but I would think it'd be 500-700 like Mille said

Mine sometimes does the same thing when I am stopped , it actually feels like someone rear ended me. when I start to go again it will also jerk. I am taking it in tomorrow to have it looked at (of course if it will do it when they test drive it!), I will keep you posted on the outcome

I just got back from the dealership about mine jerking while stopped. they knew exactly what I was talking about, they kept it and replaced the yoke and u-joints, they said they were rusty. I dont know it this is the same problem as yours, but hope it helps!
