Default 07 Silverado stereo noises...

I have an 07 silverado ltz with nav. The stereo is making noises even when the stereo and the truck is off. It sounds like there is a small motor running and also sounds like it whants to eject a cd out even thou there is no cd inside.. can anyone help? Thx

I have done some research and I found out that the nav uses a cd to upload all the map info. So it seems like the noises are coming from the nav's CD drive. I have to pay more attention to see when it starts making those noises and when it stops...

I would suggest you speak with a dealership about this issue. Depending on your mileage you may still be covered by your 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. This would cover you for the fix should your vehicle need one, under normal circumstances. I hope that helps you.

Thx a lot for the info Jeff. I just bought this truck used and it has 32k miles on it. I am going to take it to the dealership before it reaches the 36k.
