Default 2000 Silverado 1500 5.3L V8 Annoying Noises!

Hi everyone, I just got my first truck and it is a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 5.3L V8 with 111k on it. I was just wondering if anyone could help me identify some of the noises it is making. SO, one of the squeaking noises is coming from underneath the hood where the engine is, and it makes the screeching/squeak noise even when idling. It almost sounds like it could be the AC belt but I'm not quite sure. Also, there is another noise coming form underneath the truck right around where the drive shaft is. When accelerating from a complete stop it makes the squeaking noise that gets faster and faster with speed and then stops at about 20-30 MPH. Could that be the U-Joints? If so, how much on average would it cost to get the U-Joints replaced by a mechanic since I don't feel like doing that myself? Thanks for the help men, I appreciate it.

each u joint shout be about a half hour (i do them in 15 min on a hoist)
the squeeking is most likely a belt, i would replace and while under there look for tight pulleys (hard to turn)

The u joints will cost you about 100 per shaft and if you decide to change the tensioner i would buy new belts as well. I would be careful with bad u joints because you surely don't want to throw an aluminum shaft.
