Default 08 1500 stereo issues

My girlfriends son is a Marine over in afganistan,. he is coming home in October, so I grabbed his truck to do matience, when I turned on radio only tweeters worked, no door or rear speakers.
It is a 2008 1500 4 door.
It dosent have the fancy bells and whistles, just a am/fm CD player.

So far I have checked the fuses by the drivers door and under hood, all fuses are good.

ANY help would be great. His mom has been driving in it periodically, the last two weeeks it just sat. She feels she did something wrong.
I was a GM Mechanic up until 04, but IM not a tech, im a parts changing man.

Carl

I'd check the speaker settings. Not sure that the amp would come on if the woofers were switched off. I dunno, check that first.

Sledheadred,

Keep us updated. Let us know what your friend at the dealership finds. I hope this works out for you.
