09 silverado rear wheel play question
I got a 2009 silverado 1500 and i have been recently noticing a bit of a noise coming from the back of the truck. I jacked it up and found that if i grabbed the top and bottom of the tire i could wiggle it abit and it made kinda a clunking sound. I also noticed if i tried to turn it there was a bit of roughness on both sides. Is this likely wheel bearings or am I looking at something else?
some in and out play of the rear axles is normal. the only way to isolate this noise is to put the truck and jack-stands and run the truck at 50mph max. listen will a stethoscope to find the noise.
will be hard to isolate the noise turning the wheels by hand.
does the noise occur all the time, accelerating or decelerating?
