Maybe just the nature of the beast then. Bigger tires at all? And get a programmer. That'll help some

Dear kalibash. First, we really need to know what you have. Is it a gas 6.0L or the diesel? I doubt you are getting that kind of mileage from a diesel. BUT, it depends on your driving style which leaves me to my next questions, tell us about YOUR driving style. How do you accelerate (ie how many RPMS does the engine run to before it shifts into the next gear), what kind of driving do you do (mostly city, mostly highway - 60mph and below, interstate - 65 mph and higher, or a combination), etc.

Additionally, as was mentioned before, we REALLY need to know what gear ratio in the rear axle you have. You can go to any gm dealer, give them your vin and they can print up the options code sheet. It will have your rear axle gear ratio on it. With that information, we (the collective members of this forum) can provide knowledgeable feedback and suggestions that may assist you in obtaining better fuel economy. There are a number of options available to assist in this area. But without better knowledge of you and your truck, we are all just peeing in the breeze.

Eric

PS, is it a 4x4 or 4x2?
