My truck is a 08 Reg Cab Long Box 4X4 Silverado 1500 with stock 17" rims. Heres the setup I want to run, it may not make sense to some but I think it will be pretty sweet if it will work. I installed a 2.5" leveling kit and then raised the rear 2". Now comes rims and tires. I want Interco Thornbirds, I know they aren't the best but I've wanted them for years and now I'm going to get em. The problem is they don't make them in 33x12.5R17 which is the biggest I can go with this lift. But they do make a 33x12.5R16. I know where I can get a set of 16" stock chrome rims off an 05 Silverado 1/2 ton 4X4. I'm pretty sure the bolt pattern is the same but will they fit around the brakes?

 

Just be sure that the 16" rims will clear you brake calipers!

 

the bolt pattern is the same but..they don't fit around the calipers. you can make em work if you grind down the caliper some but that's up to you.
