"ABS Service" & "Air Bag" lights are on
My dad owns a 2007 Uplander with 70k miles. Last month I changed the rear rotors and pads and just pads on the front.
So today my dad told me that the "Service ABS" notice is coming on so I got in the van while it was running and also noticed the Air Bag Symbol was lit. My dad says that the airbag symbol is normal for coming on and staying on (I don't know about that) So I jacked up the van, removed the front wheel, calipers, rotor and I was expecting to see those ABS toothed hub but nothing! I thought maybe the teeth were dirty and were messing with the ABS sensor but I couldn't see it. I bolted everything back up for now.
Q.#1: is the airbag symbol normal for staying on?
Q.#2: why would the van need ABS servicing if the hub has no teeth?
*This is the airbag symbol I'm talking about.
