im replacing the harmonic balancer pulley on my 77 Scottsdale I used a harmonic puller to remove it but now I need to install the new one, but there is no hole with threads to attach harmonic installer tool too ive watched quite a few other videos and all the cars have threaded holes going into the crankshaft but my druck doesn't. is there some other way to to attach it or what? appreciate any help?

 

Beat it on with a 2 lb hammer.


Stay off the pulley bolt threads and hammer only in the center portion. You'll know it's "home" when you hear the crank/hammer "ring".

look to be sure the hole is not full of dirt or mud .unless some body striped all the threads out i have never seen one with out threads .
