Default 1987 fuel selctor valve questions

i have a 1987 chevy silverado 4x4 with a 350 TBI and i was looking at why only one of my tanks was running and not both and my fuel selector valve was broken and i was wondering if anyone had a diagram or knew how to connect the hoses up to the valve. my othe question is that there is supposed to be a hose or something that hooks up to the valve that tells me how much fuel i have in that tank. If anyone has anything that they may know will help me? Thanks

I can't give you any specifics but I have worked on a ford with dual tanks, and its a simple wire that actually sends info to the fuel gauge (95 ford f250 gas) I can't really tell you anything more than that. Good luck
