Hi all , new to the forums & new to anything chevy so keep this in mind at all times when you are reading this. Im a total ford man have been all my life BUT...., my girlfriend has a 93 silverado 1500 that has been sitting for the past year. She had it towed down here and im TRYING to figure out whats wrong with it, It starts right up & runs great BUT. It wont move, i looked under the truck as she put it in gear and i could see the driveshaft move alittle in F and R so. What do you think could be causing this? How do i back the rear breaks off on a chevy & can ANYONE please help me decode the tranny or rearend? i was going to check the fluid level in the rearend & some friggen chevy yahoo b4 me rounded the plug off... hope she didnt run the rear end dry........

Well, not knowing the history, what I would do is remove the differential cover plate inspect it for anything obvious. Next pull the rear wheels off it (same as Ford) pull the drums look for anything obvious.
