Default 1993 Chevy 1500 v6-v8 swap

I have a 93 Chevy 1500 4.3 with a 4l60e. I am putting a 383 stroker in it. Needing to kno if I have to change out the motor mounts. I have heard u do and don’t. Any pointers would be great thanks

Personally I would think for a swap from the small V6 to the big V8, there would be a difference in motor mounts.

Yep. For kicks I went to Rock Auto, chose the 1993 4.3L, searched for motor mounts. I then pulled up the 1993 6.2L diesel, which is what I think you are talking about, and the motor mounts are a different list. Even going from the 4.3L V6 to the 5.0L V8 shows a different GM part number for the motor mounts.

Sooo.... I am thinking you need the right motor mounts to match the engine...
