So I have a 1994 chevrolet k1500, 4wd, v6, and a 5 spd manual. I've scoured the internet but between lack of information or information that contradicts, I have yet to get a clear explanation for what kind of transfer case it's got or how the 4wd works. If somebody could point me in the right direction, i'd greatly appreciate it.

I believe it's got the nv3500 5 spd, but as I said, I cant be sure because of conflicting information.

Look up "transfer case for 1994 k1500 chevy." You can find them on ebay and it will tell you the part #. You can also look up "how a transfer case works." I just had problems with my '05 Silverado. I was all over the internet and found websites that tell you how they work.
