Default 1996 C1500 Hotrod Concept...

So I have a 1996 Chevy C1500 single cab shortbed and I am considering turning it in to full blown hot rod, my ideas are as follows but I am looking for feedback to perfect the transition. currently my truck is completely stock minus a stage 2 ignition coil and a missing muffler(I cut it off to be loud). I am considering replacing the rims with some 10in wide 15in chrome crager slotted rims and replacing the dented hood with a new hood with a forward scoop and painting it primer black. I also want to leave the 255 70 15in tires in the front but put 255 80 15in in the rear. I am also going to replace the bench seat with buckets of course. currently the factory paint still shines and it is a light blue. my question is should i keep the color or change it with the above modifications? also I can not find any images on the web of a truck of this body style with similar mods so i am not even sure it will look as good as i think it will so if someone has some pics of what i am talking about above please post.

So... is this a good idea or no?

and yes I understand everything i listed is just cosmetics and does not make it a fast truck. I will be droping a modded 350 or 454 in this truck as well when its all said and done :P

It's your truck, do what makes you happy. Flat/satin black paint needs good hot rod style flames otherwise it just looks like a project in primer IMO. Are you going to lower it? 15" wheels are going to look on the small side I think but maybe that's because everything you see has at least 17" or larger wheels on them nowadays. I also think these trucks look good with the classic style cowl induction hood. Just my opinion.
