Default 1997 Silverado Z71 Brake lights stick on

My 1997 brake lights started sticking on. I hit the brake pedal a couple of times and goes off. Is this a switch problem or something else?

The switch is most likely has a bad spot in it. Or has some how become miss adjusted. I am assuming you are talking about on the back of the truck and not the red light on the dash that says "BRAKE"

It is the brake lights on back of truck that stay on and drain battery.

Thanx
