1998 Z71 sputters when idling but runs fine
My 98 Z71 runs fine and has no issues except it sputters while idling. Whether it's in park, nuetral, or if I am sitting at a redlight, it sputters and feels like it's about to die but then when i accelerate, i have no issues. Any suggestions? Thanks.
No codes stored. Checked twice.
There are 4 O2 sensors, do i just need to replace all of them?
I 'll have to do some research on the throttle position sensor, I don't know anything about it.
Just found out the spark plug wires got wet during clean up under the hood. Should i try replacing those first?

Just the two pre cat sensors would be the cause of it. It's probably running to lean but only enough to notice at low RPM's. If its the sensors you'll gradually lose power then sensors will throw a code

Personally I use WD-40 and spray on intake matting surfaces, hose connections ect with it running. If it's sucking air, and you hit that with WD it will speed the rpm's up. You can use starting fluid spray. If your vacuum hoses are old/brittle replace them. Note there are (I belive) two different sizes.
