i jacked the truck up last night when i got home and i can get the tire to move at least an inch or so in and out when i twist on it up and down and left to right i can notice the cv is doing all the moving is that normal or do i have to replace this or just the joint any help would be great.

 

Hub bearing, ball joint, or tie rods will be the culprit. Holdin at 9 and 3 checks the tie rods, and holdin at 12 and 6 checks the hub bearings. Any play in there for either one means they need replacin
