1999 K1500 odo rolling while standing
I have a 1999 Chevy K1500 on the GMT 400 platform. I recently replaced the failing factory 5.7L with a factory 5.7L from another truck. After this process was completed I have discovered my Odometer is advancing while the truck is stationary. According to the odometer I have put two miles on my truck just running it in park in front of the house since getting the motor in and running.
I know that the motor mileage and truck don't match, as well as in the state I live in odo readings are exempt for titling and registration after ten years making the odometer almost moot but I am absolutely baffled at this, what the hell would cause that to happen?
