So I thought I had what I needed to take care of the problem. I replaced the speed sensor and still have nothing going on on the tachometer, odometer, or speedometer. It's a '96 c1500 5.7 2wd, I've heard this is a pretty common problem from the Chevy trucks for this time period, but I still don't know what's actually causing it. Anybody have any ideas?

 

The first step with electric problems is to always check all the fuses.

 

I can't find any specific fuse that would mess with any of those, but just to be sure I went ahead and checked them all anyway. All are good...
