1999 Surbanban 5.7 advice, bearings & rings

I am currently rebuilding a 5.7 vortec. I want to upgrade my bearings and rings to a better material. I will be using a Melling shark tooth high volume oil pump. Any info on the upgrade would be helpful. Thanks
