2000 chev throttle issues
well I'm kinda new here but I've been around chevy trucks all my life. i recently got my 2000 chev work truck with a 350 vortec, ran fine for the past few months until today. I did a few service calls, then I go to get on the freeway, so i dropped the pedal down and it starts choking and sputtering. I let off and eased the pedal and it took off. I punch it flat regularly and it never does that, so I filled it with fuel, then checked plugs, they needed changing, so i did plugs, wires, cap and rotor to have the same problem. Ichecked the fuel pressure and here are my results...
off with pump running: 58 psi, running idle, 50 psi, punch it flat it pulses between 40 and 60 psi as it coughs gags moans and complains
is my pump crapping out or is there another problem?

I am with 1Gary. I see many problems with Chevy trucks and fuel filters. They do exactly what you are describing. If that does not fix the problem then we need to look into the pump. But even if the pump is bad you should do the filter at that time any ways.
