i was thinking about going with the spectra CAI. Any thoughts. Also, a buddy of mine said that if I did a throttle body spacer with the CAI it would increase my MPGs up to around 20. Any input on which throttle body spacer i should go with or if it is worth doing for a daily driver?

The CAI setup may make the engine bay look fancier but its not likely to increase MPG any... the spacer is a scam.. if it improved MPG the auto manufactures would be all over it to sell a vehicle with better MPG... save your money.... consider a tuner with a economy option, that will give you better MPG but you may loose some power...
to get one or the other you have to give up one... more power means less mpg, more mpg means less power....

 

Replace just the tube if anything. Airaid has a kit that's just tube and filter. Showed better hp gains on a dyno than the leading air intakes out there. Spacer is a scam no doubt, makes a cool whistle. Check out blackbearperformance, gowheatley, Nelson tuning, or a local tuner with a good followin to do a custom tune for your truck. You'll be much more happy with that
