Default 2000 Chevy Silverado brake probs

You helped me so much with the fuel problem, no hubbys sweet little truck has developed brake problems. It's not 4 wheel, has calipher brakse all around. It's kind of hard to tell you what it does, but I will give it my best shot and hope you can help before I blow it up. When you step on the brakes you hear a grinding noise, but pads are fine, rotors are fine. Sometimes it won't stop. Now I notice when I drive it and I start stopping way ahead of time, so by the time I get to my stop, there is no noise. It seems to come only if you apply the brakes hard, I thought at first it was the ABS kicking in, now not so sure. So please help if you can. Any clues would be appreciated. What to check, how to check. He's done all the normal stuff, checking pads, rotors etc. Thanks all. Guess I should add, no brake light on dash comes on, doesn't throw a code. Just like a grinding type of noise. Other than that truck runs great.

Well we found the problem and solved it for now. He pulled the ABS fuse as I have read it's a common problem with no sure fix. Just pulling the sensors, cleaning them and replacing them back. But from what I have read, it's a re occuring problem up north with the salt and winter spray. Truck runs fine and I kinda like all the lights on the dash. lol.
