Hey all. I need help here. 2000 Silverado 5.3 Z71. Truck was parked for almost a year. Charged the battery and got it up and running. First drive today and it ran great for most of the time. But we stopped at a drive thru for dinner and suddenly the "check oil pressure" light came on and then the engine sounded like it was out of oil. I got it home hearing that noise all the way home. Checked the oil and it was full and the oil looked great. 173K miles and has been very well taken care of. Any suggestions on the problem would be great.

How far/long did you drive after this happened? I wouldn't start it again BTW!

 

Only about 2 miles. No intention of starting again. I need to figure out what is wrong first.
