2000 Silverado 1500 5.3L sputters on warm start up
I have only had the truck for a few months. As it grew colder through the winter, the problem seemed to get worse. Every now and then when its cold it will fire off and then it sits there and putts for 10 to 15 seconds then picks up and runs normal. When its putting it won't let you give it any throttle or it will die. Sometimes it putts so low that it dies any way. It's not every time and happens mostly when its warm. If I take a short trip to the store it will shut off for a few minutes. Then when I start it up and it acts like its starving for fuel and then it picks up and runs fine. Also a slight miss when cruising at 30 to 40 mph. I suspect the fuel filter but there are alot of other things it could be too. I'm pretty good at fixing my own stuff but this isn't something I deal with every day. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. -thanks-
