2000 Silverrado 2WD won't run above an idle

I'm hoping someone can help with this. My 2000 Silverrado 2WD just started doing this tonight on my way home from work. It won't run above an idle, I got home and shut it off and had dinner. Went out after dinner and it fired up and ran normally until I got around the corner and had to stop at a stop sign. Went to take off from the stop sign and would only idle again. Any ideas, thanks in advance for any help with this.

Your engine may be using your throttle cable as an auxiliary ground if your firewall/engine ground strap is too far gone.
In any event it seems like your throttle cable is slipping or stretched.
