Could you expound upon your OP please? Do you have a 6.0 in your 2001 now? Does it matter to you what year 6.0 it will be? Why do you want to do the swap?

I see. To my knowledge, you can, in fact, put an 05 364 V8 into an 01. The frame brackets should be the same. I'm not entirely sure about the intake manifold though; if push comes to shove, you could transplant your old manifold into the new engine, therefore keeping the previous intake routing.

The only difference is you have a cable throttle body and the 05 has an electric throttle body. All you have to do when changing motor out is swap intake manifold, throttle body, injectors with fuel rails. Everything bolts right up though. I don't know if you have an EGR but if you do once again no problem just keep your exhaust manifold and it swaps over too. Transmission and frame mounts are the same, oh my crankshaft sensor was different but I had to just swap that over. I have a 99 5.3 and put a 04 5.3.
