Default 2001 Silverado Emergency Brake

I need to change the emergency brakes on my 2001 Silverado 1500, 4X4, can anyone tell me if I need to remove the wheel hub after a remove the rotor to remove/install them or can I just slide them old ones off over the hub and the news on the same way? thanks for any help/tips/advice offered, it will be appreciated

If your primary cable is stretched beyond adjustment, get a 1/4" drive socket that's expendable.(or a narrow piece of pipe the same size)

Put it on the cable at the adjustment nut.You may have to drill the socket out a bit to get the cable through.

That should give you @1-1/2" of more play at the cable adjustment.
