I have a 2001 silverado z-71 with a 5.3L v-8 that has been having spells of not starting. It will be fine then all the sudden I will stop for gas or go to leave a buddy's house and have absolutely no start. I will have power and the battery is fairly new so I am not sure what it is. We checked to starter and it was engaging fine and its not throwing any codes but when it does it, it throws up a check engine light. Last time we unplugged my battery for a night and it worked the next day. I need help any suggestions???

By "not starting," what exactly does it do and do you hear anything at all? Have you had it scanned for stored codes?
