Angry 2002 Silverado Vehicle Speed Sensor Problem

While driving the transmission started jumbing in and out of gear as well as the ABS light and red brake light came on. Had it scanned and it said it was the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the transmission. I changed the sensor and reset the lights. It seemed to fix the problem for about a week and then did it again. I replaced the sensor again and it seems to have fixed it. I was wondering what could be causing the sensor to be going bad or if there may be another issue all together.

if the problem doesn't return you got a bad part...aftermarket or oem part?

if it does return, you may have an intermittent wiring problem. post the dtc that sets if it does return

What Tech2 said,

The only other thing is that the reluctor ring could be split and slipping on the shaft.
