Mine was faded and tarnish. No wax would help it and so the guys at the body shop said the only option was to take it off or replace it.

It is nothing but a big strip of rubber with chrome on it. I like it better off, so I didn't replace it.

just take it off and get a 3m wheel from any auto parts store and use that to take the tape off that holds it on

So are you planning on going with a leveling kit or lift? I can't decide what I want, but I want to run 36 iroks on black Rockstars...

with the 36 iroks you want and rockstars i'd say a lift for sure...but what width tires? 12.5 or 13.5? and what offset on the rockstars?

i did a levelin kit and will be doing a 1.5" body lift here soon to sit me up a little higher and it'll be perfect

I'm not sure to be honest. Buddy of mine just said he wants to trade stock wheels for his rock stars, I checked out a 4" suspension kit and I think that's what I'm gonna go with.

with a 4 inch lift, to fit 36s under it you'd have to either have skinny tires(not 12.5+ wide) or you could get 12.5" wide tires with a positive offset on the rims and a crank on the torsion keys and you may be ok...or get a 3 inch body.

look at rough country, their 6" lift isn't much more than their 4" lift
